Happy first of the year! I’m taking a quick moment to look back at some of my favorite posts from 2014…
#1. I moved in to my new studio space, built DIY shelves, settled in with a lot of plants, and finished it off with the perfect light and some DIY artwork. #2. Rupert turned 40 this year! We went to Miami to celebrate along with a slew of friends and did it up like the old days. Our mini guide to Miami here and a post on the Wynwood Art District, here. #3. We created this cozy back patio area with DIY benches and it turned out to be the perfect place to entertain. #4. I partnered up with One Kings Lane for an A Sunny Afternoon Artisanal sale and they stopped by the studio to snap some shots of me working (and playing with the pups) for an interview. #5. We broke ground on an addition to the house, lived through chaos through the renovation, moved into the new bedroom… … and bathroom… …and an almost finished kitchen (*finally*) and have been slowly finishing each space ever since. (see the entire renovation from back to front, here) #6. We took what was one of our favorite vacations, a 5 night road-trip covering, California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. (you can see all of our travels here). #7. I released the summer collection of A Sunny Afternoon with a swoon worthy lookbook… I think the new items are some of the best yet. #8. This Anthropologie shoot was one of my favorites to work on. (you can see the rest of my style (and bump style) posts from the year here). #9. We didn’t get to the cabin as much this year but when we did… it was heaven.#10. And, of course, the moment to top all moments was when we found out we were expecting a little one. We made this little pregnancy announcement video to share the news (or see the original post here).
I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store and am so thankful to have this little space that connects me with you guys. Thank you for popping in, sharing your lives, and for following along on the wild ride. Happy New Year! xo
Always love following along, Sarah, and look forward to seeing what 2015 has in store for you and Rupe. Happy New Year!
Lovely moments! Have a wonderful 2015!

Happy 2015!
You have already come so far: careerwise, your home renovations, you and your lovely husband, but your baby will be your greatest joy!
Thank you for letting us sneek a peek in your life
Sarah,
I am crazy in love with your kitchen. I own a 50 year old house and am considering Formica “faux” Carrera Marble for my kitchen countertops. The FX series looks promising as it comes in 12 foot sheets and no seam along the front. What are your thoughts on using formica for my countertops? I just cannot afford marble. Am I delusional or just plain crazy? or could it work? That grey- green colour for your lower cabinets is beautiful with the brass hardware, btw.
