I have yet to choose any furnishings or accessories for the bedrooms in my own house, but I’ve been working on a client’s home in Manhattan Beach and thought I would share what I am calling a “modern beach” guest room. Living in a beach town, we wanted to give the room a coastal nod while steering clear of the obvious or traditional seaside decor. I’ve mixed vintage looking pieces with modern furniture and lighting so that even though all the items are brand new, they still have a collected feel. I also got to put to use one of my favorite wallpapers

Great mixture of colors and textures, love it!
Love this!! I’m always drawn to beach-y style, but agree about avoiding the typical “beach” decor. 🙂
Gorgeous! Especially the bed en wallpaper. So fresh and clean.
Wow, do I ever want a hanging chair!

Thanks so much for including my pillows here! Although this particular set is sold out, I’m working on a new batch of grainsack pillows that will be in my shop in April. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you are looking for some!
