pack you bags: The henson

No fall retreat is complete without a cable knit cardigan and a cozy beanie, of course. This fine knit cardigan is the perfect layering piece… especially over my favorite white tee. Love these jeans and sneakers.

For downtime, I’m all about cozy elevated pieces: cashmere joggers (or these), fun striped socks from Dusen Dusen, and a shearling bomber. And yes, I always travel with my sss throw blanket. It’s become a comfort item at this point 🙂

I’m forever obsessed with bags that have plenty of exterior pockets so everything is right at hand, like this bucket bag. This weekender is surprisingly lightweight compared to bulkier leather styles. A good fine point pen is another non-negotiable (sketching, postcard writing: seriously try it;))! Plus my wellness staples: saffron tea from The Fullest for unwinding after a long day/long flight, and First Aid flower remedy before flights or when I feel something coming on.

On the wellness topic, sensory things are huge for me. The sweet smell of figs brightens any moment and my favorite travel pillow makes everything/anywhere (car, plane, bed) more comfortable. Did you know chewing is a natural way to calm down? They say it’s like massaging your vagus nerve. Namely: chewy, gummy snacks. These soley mango chew are my current fav.

And of course…book recs! Remember when we read Catherine Newman’s Sandwich for book club? A prequel is coming at the end of October! I can’t wait to see what Rocky’s up to next.
