03.23.14-weekendThe good: Saturday we drove downtown to check out the Parachute Market, a beautifully curated design fair and then stopped by the equally beautiful Ace on the way back for a little snack.

The bad: On the drive home I started not feeling so well.

The really ugly: We arrived home to a freshly varnished hallway which I immediately had to put my personal stamp (ie footprints) in, while running to the bathroom where I became violently ill and stayed for the remainder of the night. (tmi? probably).

I should also note that it was NOT the Ace’s food that poisoned my system. I am pretty sure a late night taco truck run the evening before was the culprit. Ew. I hope your weekend was better then mine!

I hope you feel better! That is seriously the worst.

I also have a selfish reason for posting: is that west elm’s crosby sofa? My husband and I have been eyeing it…do you like it? does it hold up well?

    Thanks!

    • Hi Charlotte, Thank you! 100% better today, and yes! that is the Crosby from West Elm. We bought it a few months ago but we never took the plastic off until yesterday, so this is actually the first time I got to sit in it! So far we are really liking it. I broke it in with a nice nap. 🙂

I know everyone ADORES the Ace…but that timeline seems unlikely that you were sick from the night before. Food Poisoning usually happens within 3-6 hours of eating the culprit food.

Glad you feel better, food poisoning is not fun at all.

    • Hi Jaclyn, oh yes, but some food poisoning doesn’t set in until 12 – 24 hours. I’ve gotten food poisoning a few times now (when you eat out as much as I do it is bound to happen) and it almost always is the morning after. In this case it didn’t come to head until about 3:00pm so it could have very well been my breakfast too. I felt a little off all day so thats why the one place I am pretty sure wasn’t the culprit was the Ace. I also only ate bread and butter and a kale salad. Although, I did have a sore throat to go along with it that I have been thinking was from all of the construction dust so for all I know I could have had the norovirus instead! Who knows. Either way I’m glad to be off the bathroom floor. 🙂

  • Oh no! Feel better soon!! Why is it that I am knowing multiple people coming down with food poisoning lately?? It’s the utter pits, and I hope you’re feeling much better – Gatorade or coconut water can help to keep you hydrated! 🙂

  • That’s a shame, I love tacos! I hope you’re feeling better! 🙂

  • Ugh – food poisoning is the worst!!! Glad you’re feeling better!!

Ohh! That is the sofa I have been eyeing. Would you share which fabric it is you selected? Feel better!
