So, about 9 out of 10 of you
mentioned the Shroom, which was, of course, the one I had my eye on for
the space. Your extra validation was handy to convince myself and Mr. Samuel that we absolutely NEEDED to go for it ;). So thanks guys!
With the addition of the new table, it rounds out the space as a little reading nook in the front window, which I love. In contrast to the light and intricate hanging chair, the table’s clean lines and solid structure grounds the area without competing visually. Now I just need to carve out a little quality magazine time.

I bought a fiddle leaf fig from Home Depot a month ago, and I was wondering how long you’ve had yours. Did it start out around 12″ tall? It’s beautiful and so large now. Mine is the small one sold online: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Delray-Plants-8-3-4-in-Ficus-Pandurata-Bush-in-Pot-10PAN/203380954
hi Cathy, we’ve had ours for about 6 months now and it hasn’t grown much at all. When we bought it, it was already the tree size. They cost I think $79 at this size, if I remember right.
that hanging chair is one of my favorite furniture pieces of all time.
Love watching your progress. Your home is so amazing. Thanks for sharing!

Love the mix of different shades of wood with the greenery. Looks put-together but still laid-back and welcoming!

I’m so curious to see if your design style and choices will change it all as you begin to prep for a new baby!
I really love it!
It turned out wonderfully, as usual! I adore that hanging chair.
Really like the mix of different colors of timber with the plants. Looks put-together but still laid-back and pleasant.
