I have yet to choose any furnishings or accessories for the bedrooms in my own house, but I’ve been working on a client’s home in Manhattan Beach and thought I would share what I am calling a “modern beach” guest room. Living in a beach town, we wanted to give the room a coastal nod while steering clear of the obvious or traditional seaside decor. I’ve mixed vintage looking pieces with modern furniture and lighting so that even though all the items are brand new, they still have a collected feel. I also got to put to use one of my
