This is definitely one of the easiest DIY‘s I have put together and I really just did it on the fly. You could also make it all your own by switching up the eucalyptus for flowers or other greenery, increasing the number of dowels used, etc. Really, the variations are endless… making me want to make another, and another!
Supplies needed: Fresh Cut Eucalyptus // Yarn // 3 Walnut Dowels 1/2″ x 36″ // Scissors The first thing I did was lay the dowels out on the floor, spaced out how I wanted them. Then I started with the full roll of yarn and tied the end onto the left side of the bottom dowel with a simple knot. I then tied knots on the next two dowels up and stretched the yarn out as high as I wanted it (about two feet above the dowels) and finished tying the rest of the knots, going down along the right side. Next I gathered a bunch of eucalyptus and tied a piece of yarn around its’ end securing it together (repeating that step twice to make two bunches). Then finally I tied the eucalyptus bunches to the wall hanging with a bow, using the same yarn. Pretty fun right? Cracker is clearly impressed. To see more of my DIY projects check here.

Love this so much! I was wondering where your couch was from? Is it grey or blue?
Hi Heather, it is a dark navy blue and it is from HD buttercup!

Such a lovely and simple idea. And that chandelier is gorgeous. Would you mind sharing your source for it?

This is beautiful! I’m scared to have it in my own home because I read that eucalpytus is poisonous to cats. 🙁 I’ll have to find a leafy alternative!
The yarn you posted is not linking me to a website. I am trying to find this type yarn but am having difficulties finding one like you have here. Do you remember where you purchased your yarn or do you maybe have any recomondations to where to purchase something similar to the one you posted?
Hi there! Love this idea. Also, where is that coffee table from?
Hi,
I had the same question as above about the yarn. Can you post where your purchased the yarn and/or what kind it is?
Thanks,
Caitlyn
I am having the same issue as Christie with the yarn. Can you post info about the type of yarn and/or where you purchased?
Thanks!
Hi ladies, I don’t have the exact link but I found mine at Michaels!
Love this idea and am doing it today. How long will the eucalyptus last do you think?

[…] 5. Eucalyptus Wall Hanger […]
Hi, I love this but I was wondering if the eucalyptus ever dies? Or looses its green?
I had mine up for over a year. The eucalyptus dries out to a pretty green/silver color.
I love this! So simple and elegant, it would make a nice touch to a bathroom also as it looks very fresh. Perhaps I’ll make this for my guest bathroom…Thanks for sharing!
I’m just now finding this and I love it but did you really only tie each bunch to the dowel once and just on the end? I’m finding that mine want to roll forward on the dowel and almost hang perpendicular.
LOVE this idea! Just made it for my natural themed family room and it looks amazing! Thanks so much for sharing!
Also… that coffee table! <3
