It has been a minute since we checked in with the Oh Joy office. She revealed the main office while we were road tripping across the country, so I didn’t get a chance to share over here but this past weekend it was featured in the LA Times (woot!) which reminded me to get it up so you have the full tour! You might remember her Office Kitchen and the Executive Office Reveal, so now we have the final space, the main office… the Oh Joy bullpen, if you will.
We used a mix of pastels and bold colors and a whole lot of white to create a whimsical palette that reflects the Oh Joy brand and is as functional as it is inspiring to work in. We used large Ikea cabinets for tons of closed storage, even the large eye-sore of a printer gets tucked away. Joy worked was working with Ikea for this portion of the office so the challenge was that every purchase for the new space needed to come from Ikea. Outside of Ikea, we reused her teams existing desks but I designed a custom wall mural to tie two desks together by running up the wall and down the front of the desks which gives them a built-in feel. I also had custom inspiration boards created so each workstation has it’s own extra large canvas to pin up moodboards or their current work. It’s been such a joy (eh hmmm) to work on this office and can’t wait to see all the great work that Joy and her team will be turning out of it.
My Jumpsuit from Madewell, Shoes are Vintage // And honest to God we didn’t even coordinate our clothing on purpose, but I did wear most saturated colored outfit I own just for her. 🙂
Where did you find the cute cloud outlines that are above the floating shelves?
It’s such great very beautiful photography. I am your Follower from Pinterest.
