To help you re-create a similar look I’ve listed a few ideas to try on your Thanksgiving table and I’ve teamed up with two amazing brands, The Citizenry and Suite One Studio, to give away these gorgeous pieces so that one lucky winner can get a head start!
Idea 1: Layer multiple dishes and napkins for extra depth. For a holiday table I usually like to start with a charger, then add a napkin, then dinner plate and usually top it off with something decorative (like the pheasant feather) at each place setting. This table got its’ extra layer of luxe with the gold rimmed dessert plate and gold rimmed bowl that would be perfect for a little amuse bouche.
Idea 2: Create a centerpiece from the produce aisle.Thanksgiving celebrates a time of harvest and bounty so why not create a centerpiece from the farmer’s market or just the produce aisle at your local grocery store. To keep it looking tasteful I stuck with a monochromatic palette. I love the texture of the artichokes which I used to make the bulk of the arrangement and then added in pears, gourds, and a little eucalyptus to fill it out.
Idea 3: Keep it neutral but play up textures. This year I stuck with a neutral color palette and relied heavily on the patterns and textures of all the natural elements to up the luxe factor. Black, white, brown, and gold make for a rich color combination but bringing in the textures of the cow horn tumbler, pheasant feather, marble tabletop, cowhide rug, and wood grain planter take it to a whole ‘nother level.

This is seriously SO gorgeous! I really love the idea of the produce centerpiece!!
Love the sophisticated look of this table
Loving the centerpiece; it’s gorgeous and will be perfect for this years table.
I love the idea to create a centerpiece from the produce aisle!
Centerpiece from the produce aisle – great way to bring in natural colors and textures of the season! Plus, you can eat it once the guests leave. 🙂
I love the juxtaposition of the fancy, matte gold mixed with natural, rustic elements like the feather.
Definitely a centerpiece from the produce isle! I love natural elements in a home used in creative ways.
I love the idea of layering napkins and chargers to create texture and depth. Will definitely be trying that this year! Love your tablescape!
Centerpiece for sure! Big fan of using the artichokes and mixing it up with other winter veggies like squash or cabbage!
Love the centerpiece idea. Those artichokes are beauts!
Hi… Love #3 – keep it neutral and play up the texture. So warm and inviting! Thanks for sharing.
My mom’s big into chargers, so the first one would be what she’d go for, but I love the centerpiece – I’m into big, sprawling bouquets like that, so yeah. Two, ftw.
Those horn cups sitting next to green succulents. SWOON! I LOVE!
That arrangement is absolutely stunning. i love how you incorporated the artichokes and the squash – I know I’ll be trying to copy this 🙂
i love the idea of a centerpiece from produce! so unique!
ladies in navy
I love layering pieces with similar elements – like your gold-rimmed bowls with the chargers and b/w napkins!
I love the gold rimmed bowls with the dark plates and that centerpiece is stupid beautiful!!!
Idea 2: Create a centerpiece from the produce aisle.
I have been in love with the idea of using different seasonal fruits and veggies to make a tablescape and am hoping to use this for the friendsgiving I will be having with my housemates.
Great giveaway! xo

I love adding the “luxe” with some gold accents. I would definitely want to incorporate that with some gold rimmed plates or flatware.
Keeping it monochromatic is great, simple advice!
I am hosting my first Thanksgiving this year and my tablescape theme is black and gold! This gives me so many good ideas. Love adding succulents for some earthiness!
I would create a centerpiece from the produce aisle.
I love the idea of adding fresh produce to the centerpiece- it’s beautiful and unexpected!
I love the idea of layering dishes and napkins! I think I’ll be trying it out next week for mine and my boyfriend’s small thanksgiving feast!
I love the idea of making centerpieces out of unexpected pieces. I know this isn’t necessarily “holiday”, but I’ve been dying to do a centerpiece with cotton plant buds. Maybe this is the year!
I love the centerpiece idea. Beautiful!
I love all of your ideas but especially #2 as I love creating unique centerpieces! for the holidays! Such a fun giveaway!
all wonderful ideas! i love the idea of sticking with neutrals and focusing on different textures!
Yes to everything, but especially to keeping things neutral but with lots of texture.
I’m loving the produce-aisle centerpiece. Genius.
I love the way you incorporated the artichokes – they are little organic sculptures and are a beautiful starting point for a centerpiece.
Plus I love the hits of green paired with the subtle gold rims.
Stunning. I love the contrast of the black with metal accents. Her I come to the produce aisle for that centerpiece!! 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Such lovely things! I’m new to the whole idea of tablescaping so these ideas feel very fresh and perfect for my aesthetic!
I love using neutrals and adding different textures with the linens and flowers. I never thought to use local produce though. The artichoke centerpiece looks gorgeous!
I love the gold rimmed plates! Can’t wait to have a white/gold themed Thanksgiving this year.
Beautiful! I love the black and gold palette and especially idea #3! I could even see playing with some of my neighborhood’s evergreen/cedar branches as a table runner. Happy Thanksgiving!
I love the idea to troll the produce aisle to put together a centerpiece! Genius.
I am always drawn to neutrals so I would try Idea #3 and play up the textures! Beautiful ideas!
Already had my eye on those tumblers since they launched last week – stunning! Honestly, I love all 3 ideas for the table, but if I had to pick one my favorite would be the layers of different textures. It plays in the centerpiece, the layering of the plates, and varied color of the tumblers. Even thought the table is neutral, it feels alive and bold – love it!
Love these ideas! I’d probably be more likely to try and recreate Idea 3 – I love mixing up textures in my home!
I love the gold and using veggies as a centerpiece!
All of these are beautiful! I’d have to say Idea 2: from the produce aisle is my favorite (this is a tough one though, seriously love them all). Not only is it visually appealing, I like that I can shop for my centerpiece and my meal ingredients all at once!
I love your color palette and the layering of each place setting. The layering only helps to further encourage a slow paced meal and more time to enjoy to company around the table as well as the food. Really beautiful!
Love the centerpiece idea!
Hi Sarah!
I just had a big Friendsgiving dinner last weekend and also used gold chargers layered with napkins (some of which I hand painted!). I absolutely ADORE your artichoke centerpiece (#2) though and will most definitely be trying that out at my next party. It’s so inventive and different, while remaining naturally beautiful.
And maybe next time I’ll actually have room for a centerpiece! We had 14 people this year and the food took up all the room. My A Sunny Afternoon table runner definitely made a huge impact, though!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Love to use produce for the centerpiece…so full of beautiful texture!
#2: Love the idea of adding things from the market/farmers market as centerpieces. Swooning over the eucalyptus and gourds idea as well!
I love playing around with neutrals! Thanks for the giveaway =]
Love the idea of using produce for the centerpiece. I went to my favorite garden center in Chicago and they had the most beautiful arrangements and wreaths of succulents so I have decided to go with a succulent centerpiece and a succulent wreath with “Thankful” on it.
I love creating a landscape on the table using the different textures and sizes of dishes/ chargers/ napkins. It makes for such a beautiful and inviting space to share everything that you are thankful for. It is something that is super accessible for anyone and what ever they might have on hand! Certainly will be making an appearance on my table!
Really love the idea of using the produce aisle to create a centerpiece. Will definitely be recreating!
I would like to try #3 – layering neutrals and textures. Your centerpiece is stunning, but I don’t have room on my table for anything of that scale.
P.S. I live in LA – is there someplace local that I can find the feathers?
Also – I’ve been seriously coveting so many items Citizenry’s new collection. I already have a few pillows, and would love to pick up some of the planters, tumblers and/or the desk set!
The produce centerpiece is such a great idea for all times of the year. I love doing it with lemons in the summer, or apples in the fall. Love the idea behind Citizenry where every product has a personal story behind.
Love the idea of using planters on the table – great way to make use of some things I already have! (and excuse to buy more cute planters!) Also need to order some of those wonderful napkins!
Love the centerpiece from the produce aisle idea, and your finesse to put it together 😉
My favorite way to dress up a table is with neutral toned candles of different heights and a plethora of gourds & mini pumpkins. The mini white pumpkins are the best!
Gorgeous decor, Sarah! I’m partial to using produce as a centerpiece. I try to keep my holiday decor simple and eco-friendly, and produce fits the bill!
I’ve never done a Thanksgiving centerpiece (never enough room on the table!) so I love creating one with produce. Even better if that produce were part of the feast!
Thanks for this!
I love the layering napkins idea. I just need some new napkins now. 🙂
Both ideas are beautiful, love the black plates with the white and gold from
Suite One Studios. Since I lack space, the centerpiece from the produce
Section will happen on my table. Love the article!
Can I try them all? I was absolutely planning on using succulents this year for our long tables. But love the idea of layered plates & napkins! Thanks, Sarah!
I love the color story that is happening with the golds, blacks and whites and how the greenery is a beautiful contrast to those bold colors. I love the layering as well as the centerpiece made from items in the produce sections. Gives a great opportunity for a pretty by also fragrant centerpiece with the use of fresh herbs. I want to try them all!
LOVE the produce aisle idea!
Love the produce aisle idea! Inexpensive and organic 🙂 I’m hosting thanksgiving this year for my whole family (1st time ever) and would be thrilled to win this giveaway!
Bravo. I would’ve never envisioned something this sleek for Thanksgiving. Bookmarking this in my brain in case I ever start considering burlap and pumpkins and 1980s wooden pilgrim figurines again (>insert cry emoji here<).
Also, the napkins on your chargers like that? Genius!? So doing this the next time our table looks a little naked.
I love the idea of placing a napkin between the charger and the plate to create an extra layer. So often you only see the napkin on top of the plate. Love the look of the simple feather instead. Very unique. Will definitely be playing around with this. And I LOVE the idea of the centerpiece from the produce aisle. The artichokes look fantastic.
This looks fabulous! You’ve done an excellent job of making this look luxe and simple all at the same time. It also appears that each person will have something special that doesn’t feel like it will break.
Farmers’ markets and my yard are constant inspiration for my table.
I like the neutral with textiles best…Although the centerpiece is lovely it’ll get in the way of the main dish!
Definitely trying the centerpiece idea this year!
I love your centerpiece and the gold flatware is very cool.
Artichoke centerpiece ftw!
The gold-rimmed dishes are so gorgeous, too. Happy Thanksgiving!
I love every single thing in this post. I’m going to try the produce centerpiece!
I like idea 3: Keep it neutral but play up textures. Thanks for the opportunity!
I love the idea of using produce for centerpieces!
I’m definitely using the idea of produce for centerpieces! Just have to see if my store sells artichokes!
I am loving the black with gold accents this year plus the natural wood tones! perfect! thanks for the giveaway
I love the idea of using stand-out chargers along with the rest of the dinnerware. It really looks fantastic. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.
Erin
I’m definitely into serve ware layering — love this tablescape!
I love the idea of using produce to create a beautiful and unique centerpiece
Love, love, love the fresh produce centerpiece idea! Simple but stunning!
My family is coming all the way from Massachusetts to my new house in Michigan. Really excited, but was feeling overwhelmed between menu planning, setting up guest rooms, and gathering up the holiday decor I can’t seem to find where I packed. The house is an early Modernist home, and I’ve been trying to figure out ways for the holiday decor to complement, not compete with the already beautiful details in the architecture, and still be easy and quick to do. The neutral palette with golds is perfect, and I can’t wait to try the grocery aisle centerpiece too! Thanks again, Sarah, for sharing all these inspiring ideas!
Love all of the ideas! I can’t wait to try out the third idea of keeping it neutral but playing up textures. Such a beautiful table setting!
LOVE this table so much. Everything. Also love the produce centerpiece…seems so doable and easy!
Adding texture! especially in the colder months, like flannel or knit would add such a cozy feel!
I definitely want to try the centerpiece from the produce aisle! Love it!
Your photos are so beautiful! I love all the natural elements and in particular love the farmer’s market-sourced centerpiece. Seriously dreamy and perfect for Thanksgiving.
I always love playing with texture and a neutral color palette so I would most likely try out #3, although they all look beautiful!
Centerpiece from the produce aisle! And keeping it monochromatic. Adore.
I really love the centerpiece from the produce aisle…it makes me think of old still life paintings.
I love the juxtaposition of the natural elements with the gold rimmed plates. I’m definitely going use gold and wood on my table
The produce idea is fabulous! Bonus that it can be eaten too afterward.
I love your pictures. If I have to choose I would pick produce centerpiece. I adore every detail.
i love the idea of creating a centerpiece from the produce aisle! i’m thinking of incorporating persimmons into my tablescape this year!
Love the feathery touch!
Love the produce centerpiece! Hope to replicate this holiday season.
YOURS! What material are the chair covers made out of??
I love the idea of layering to create texture and depth.
Sarah, you’ve created a masterpiece. Simply beautiful. My personal favorite is idea 2. It’s visually appealing, something I’ve never thought of doing, and an idea I can use for more than one occasion.
Love that planter. I’m all about adding little succulents to a table.
Gorgeous! I’m stealing the centerpiece idea. Live the monochromatic look!
I love both, but my favorite is idea #1. The layers are just so charming!
The centerpiece…it’s breathtaking!
id go for idea 3!
I LOVE the centerpiece idea! Artichokes are such beautiful veggies and yummy too 🙂
Laying the dishes has me sold. I never think to put the napkin between the charger and the plate, yet it looks so nice. I can layer my clothes but when it comes to home décor, I’m coming to realize it doesn’t come as easily!
That said, cool idea for the centerpiece with the Artichokes, Sarah–very creative 🙂
Love the centerpiece idea!
I would definitely try idea 2!
I love the produce centerpiece idea- so beautiful!
Your Thanksgiving table is gorgeous! I love your idea of using produce for the centerpiece. I might give that a try with some fruit as well; maybe some pomegranates?? 🙂 Thank you for the ideas and also for the giveaway!
I pinned the artichoke and pear centerpiece–I’m going to try and re-create it for Christmas!!
I would most definitely try out idea #3. I’m a total neutrals girl but layering textures and different accents makes things fun for the holidays. LOVING all three setups though!
I really love the look of the centerpiece. I love that it doesn’t look too try-hard or overdone. So lovely.
I would incorporate aspects from all three ideas–layering, textures, metallics and natural elements. Love it all!
Idea 3: Keep it neutral but play up textures. I really need to experiment with more textures, my tables always look a little flat.
Do I have to pick one?! I’ll definitely be incorporating this luxe look at my fall 2015 wedding – how chic!
Chargers and produce as decor. I have simple white china I use with black linen napkins and placemats with rosemary or thyme on the table in a matte-finish small planter. They look lovely on my mahogany table. But I’d like that luxe touch of gold (geometric candleholder perhaps?) and something chunky. LOVE the interplay of finishes in neutrals with a bit of glitz!
Love the centerpiece!
Ahh! SO lovely.
A true feast for the eyes! Tablescape S T U N N E R!
I would love to include the Citizenry and Studio One Studio pieces on my holiday [and non holiday (-: ] table. The simplistic design will definitely go with my overall minimal look.
I’ve planned to use some blue chambray Japanese napkins I got in Seattle this fall and plan to make a handmade centerpiece of air plants and a stag fern. I have gold flatware too!! The bowls and tumblers will bring it all together! Thank you for sharing your designs…xx.
I love playing with textures and this combination is so beautiful!!
Love the centerpiece! So classy and down to earth.
I love layering the Chargers and plates. There is nothing that looks better to me!
Love the idea of buying from the produce section to build a centerpiece!
I love the idea of a produce inspired centerpiece. Absolutely love the artichoke touch. Beautiful photos per usual!
I just love that produce centerpiece! Kind of a modern take on the cornucopia. I love the overall style and color palette as well. Beautifully done.
I love the neutral palette with textures! Clean and simple but very intriguing.
Love the ‘centerpiece from produce aisle’ tip, trying this year for sure!!!
I love them all but number 1 is my favorite.
I love “Idea 3: Keep it neutral but play up textures”!!! I might try this one out!
All great ideas but I would go with layering multiple dishes and napkins for extra depth.
Love the idea of the centerpiece reflecting the harvest but keeping it monochrome. I usually get too busy with a wild color palette.
I love the centerpiece — definitely will be on our table this year.
I always mix in things from the produce isle for Thanksgiving… it’s all about the food. Love the brass and the succulents though!
I love all 3 ideas but mixing textures is my favorite!
the textures here are just lovely but I think I’d love to try the centerpiece because this idea makes arranging a centerpiece much less overwhelming! thanks for these great tips!
Ohhhh, I like the alternating feather and leaf on plates
I love the idea of using produce! That way you can always use/eat after the holiday is over 🙂
I love tablescape 3 with all of the textures!
Love number 3!!!
I like the idea of using produce as your centerpiece. Beautiful, textural and yummy.
I love everything gold on that table!! Sarah your napkins are divine!
xx
THOSE BOWLS!!!! – he alternating feathers and foliage is so good! Love all the scapes. xo
and by “he” I mean “the” ha!
Beautiful table. I love the mix, the colors, and gorgeous centerpiece.
Love, love, love it all! I will definitely be creating a similar centerpiece and I can’t get enough of the white, black and gold.
What a gorgeous look! I will shop the produce aisle and forage my backyard for greenery.
I love the centerpiece idea!!! Brilliant, beautiful and affordable!
What a great giveaway! Thanks!
definitely love the idea of neutral elements that play with texture. right up my alley. 🙂
Sarah I really like how young and fresh your ideas are truly a table fit for royalty
I love love love the produce centerpiece, very unique.
love your natural luxe idea… those midcentury mod chairs are ahmaz! would love to add these items to my table scape this year!
Monika
Love playing with textures in tablescapes!
I’m so in love with this! I’m hosting my first thanksgiving this year at my house. I’m absolutely overwhelmed but planning and decorating has also been a blast for me! I love the idea of getting the center piece from your produce isle. Looks so amazing with not a ton of running back and forth trying to find something to slap on the table!
I love everything about this tablescape. The gold chargers under the dark plates is gorgeous. The cow horn tumblers are seriously amazing. Love it all!
Have been a fan of both companies for a while, and I love the natural/textured table setting!
love the chargers and napkins combination, very beautiful!
I would use the Rosemary from my herb garden to add greenery to the table!
I like the idea of using produce as a feature.
Love idea no.2 making a centerpiece from the produce isle. Beautiful!!
I LOVE the idea of using artichokes as a centerpiece! They are my favorite veggie though so I would probably sneak them in a pot the next day.
I love your centerpiece, beautiful and thrifty! Gold accents with warm wood tones are both festive and cozy. It strikes the perfect note for the holidays.
I love the depth of the look… I will definitely have to take pointers from the centerpiece for our first Thanksgiving in our own home. The grey tones of the green you’ve chosen tone it down and keep it looking very chic and simple.
The feathers are stunning, as are the vintage metal goblets on the table.
So beautiful, so rich looking. I love the mix of colors and texture.
I love the look of layering dishes!
I love the black/gold – simple layering, looks so luxe and will def be incorp some of that!
LOVE! So incredibly gorgeous! Perfect setting for a small friendsgiving!
I love Idea 2: Create a centerpiece from the produce aisle. Love the way you combined various textures giving it such a luxurious feel.

I really love the idea of the produce centerpiece!!
I’ve never thought to make a centerpiece from the produce aisle. LOVE IT!
Love idea 2 and 3!

I LOVE the idea (and your gorgeous table) of keeping the color palette neutral, but playing up the textures! I LOVE the matte black with metallic gold, and those feathers just really draw your eye, with their patterned texture!! so pretty! love this idea for colors, especially as a change from the same old earth-tone palette that Thanksgiving usually gets. Thanks for the ideas!!!
I love the gold and textures of the table, especially the centerpiece. I love that it’s not the traditional thanksgiving with reds, oranges and turkey, but still says fall, family and gratitude.
Gorgeous as always! Looks I have something new to try on my table this year. Happy Holidays.
