Every vintage piece we source feels like finding gold; it’s the special touch that never fails to elevate a space. Whether it’s the silhouette, texture, shape, or story of the piece, it’s usually the last oomph to kick the vibe of the room in place.
The thrill of the search and rescue (!) of vintage pieces, Facebook marketplace I’m looking at you, is addicting. Especially when the price is little to nothing. We don’t always have the time to scroll Facebook marketplace all day, so local thrift stores and vintage spots are a choice, or our online picks are 1stDibs, Charish and Etsy. For smaller items, my secret (shhh!) is Noihsaf Bazaar.
The key is to know your keywords for searching online. Consider the material, shape, time period, style, color, and specific detail for most items. Some keywords I used to find the pieces shown below: organic shape, rattan, vintage, marble, small wooden stool, abstract, ceramic, wrought iron.
Another of my tricks is if you are on somewhere like Etsy and find a great piece, click on the shop selling it. Most likely, they will have other items you like, too.
Happy treasure hunting!
