Not long ago I found myself in Palm Springs for a pool party and realized I somehow forgot to pack a kaftan/tunic/beach cover-up. I mean CRISIS! 😉 Minutes before the party we were downtown and I saw the perfect one hanging in a storefront window, so I rushed in and bought the lacey tunic before I even knew where I was and before my stylish friends could find out the truth about my lapse in packing skills. Lo and behold, this is my true story about when Chico’s
saved the day!
Word of my brush with ‘pool party dress code failure’ spanned across the land and Chico’s
wanted me to share the harrowing tale with you (OK, the spreading of the word part didn’t really happen, but when they asked me to work with them, I jumped at the chance to share my story and my new secret (now, not-so-secret) source for beach/pool wear). A couple other beachy items on my list are this bag
and this poncho

would never think of chico’s for this — but such a good find!
My mom/aunts love Chico’s. They call it “Forever 61” LOL. But if its works, doe it really matter where you bought it?
haha Laura, that is pretty hilarious. I know, the (older) lady at the check out was like you are going to want to put a tank top under that, it is pretty see through. I just smiled and said mm hmm! 😉 Their tunics work so well for beach cover-ups!
You have such pretty freckles on your legs 🙂 Happy Summer!
this cover up is so gorgeous!
ladies in navy
you look so cute Sarah! I love the lace, how tall are you, just wondering if the tunic will cover my tush, I have a long torso 🙂 Thanks!
Hey Bailey, I am 5′ 7″. 🙂
never in a million years would i suspect chicos! wow! they opened up a store back where i grew up and it was always the ‘old lady store’. good to know they have some awesome pieces now!
This simple look is summer chic and effortlessly beautiful. The contrast of eyelet lace and a dark suit is alluringly sweet. The minimalist nature is right on par with summer trends. The touches of metallic grant elegance to this beachwear ensemble.
You look awesome! I’ve never been inside a Chico’s but I’ll definitely have to pay them a visit now.
wow, that sun and that laser cut is so amazing!
That lace tunic is so lovely!
Ooh, I love this. How chic!
That cover up it to die for! Thanks so much for sharing, can’t wait to check out their beach line!
