The charm of the Ignacia Guest House goes all the way to its name, Ignacia. Named after the housekeeper who oversaw the care of the estate house for 70 years. Add that to all the historical details of the place restored to its full stunning glory. I want to bask in it all. Starting in the hot sun under the orange trees.

And did I mention a homemade Mexican breakfast (at communal tables or in the garden) is included with your stay? Packing my suitcase now. See you there!

I had so much fun packing my bags for this trip. This hotel is a little fancy and eccentric, and I see my chance to wear this organza dress tucked in my closet. I have been eyeing this bag for weeks and can see it sitting pretty on that side table in the lobby. You can’t go wrong with a memory foam travel pillow. I am a recent convert to packing cubes, and I love these. A hat is a must-have for me when traveling, especially in sunny places, and sunglasses!

Last but not least, a book packed in my bags is essential. I just started this one, and it is lighthearted and makes me laugh. The vibe I’m going for for this vacation.
