Last week I had the pleasure of co-hosting an opening party for one of my favorite paint brands,
Farrow & Ball. They have just opened a new showroom in Pasadena and along with the event, they asked me to create an IRL “city palette” moodboard inspired by the city, to showcase at the party. I had so much fun bouncing around Pasadena, hitting up my favorite spots (the best part was getting a complete stranger to take the photo of me (shown below) at the gardens. I am still laughing at the conversation) and sharing them in an
instagram takeover on their IG. While I was gathering photos I made sure to pay extra attention to the colors.
These three photos made it into
the takeover, highlighting my favorite spot to
get pampered (olive & june), the best place to spend an afternoon getting lost in their gardens (
huntington library & botanical gardens), and the cutest pit stop to grab some lunch and an ice cream float (
Float).
Inspired heavily by the gardens and buildings like the Father of the Bride house, Olive & June, and shopper’s avenue, I created my Pasadena city palette of Studio Green, Pink Ground, Green Smoke, Railings, and Yellowcake. They seriously have THE BEST colors.
The evening of the party I welcomed
Farrow & Ball to Pasadena along with
Elle Decor,
House Beautiful and
Veranda with an evening of colour, bubbly, and canapés (I think I personally ate an entire tray of chicken and waffle bites).

Being British I grew up with this paint! It has an amazing depth of pigment, is eco friendly and gives a very expensive and tasteful look!!
