Along with the lounge chairs, we got our dining table and dining chairs squared away. Since I was loving the Redsmith and the Tolix so much from my initial search, but neither of them were really in my budget, I dug a little further and came across these Tabouret chairs on Overstock. They were a perfect mix of the two and a lot friendlier on the wallet.
I wasn’t expecting to go with an Ikea dining table either but when I saw the Applaro option, with its pretty color finish, clean lines, and the fact that it is adjustable and extends to fit 10 people, I was sold. Next trip we’ll be all set to dine and lounge alfresco.
That looks beautiful! I have the Tabouret counter stools in our kitchen and have been really happy with the quality, especially considering how cheap they are.
Sarah, your transformation of the cabin is just incredible!! So impressed that you and your husband are doing most of it yourselves and always look forward to the updates.
Love the combo of the tabouret chairs with the Applarö table. I was considering that combo (but with orange chairs) when we needed to upgrade our chairs this year for our Applarö table. I think it looks stunning!
Thanks Katja, I contemplated green chairs but they didn’t have the shade of green I wanted, very happy with the white in the end anyway. Orange would be fun too!
LOVE the chairs! I got these for Christmas and they’ve been waiting ever since for an outdoor area to be of use. We’re hopefully focused on that this month after our renovations die down and I can’t wait to eat outside! Love how your patio turned out!
hi sarah – your patio looks amazing! question…i have the same ikea loungers and need new cushions. followed your link to HD and found two size selections. did you go with the 80″ length or the shorter? otherwise…good fit on the chair? thanks for the info.
Hi Sarah-This is such an amazing transformation! I was actually grimacing when I looked at the “before” shots of the cabin. To say that you did an amazing job is an understatement! I left you a message on Facebook, but on the wrong page-not your design page(I found that after). Can you tell me what the paint color you used on the cabin and the doors was? Thanks so much!
Hi Sarah- How are the chairs and table holding up a year later? We’re also considering our outdoor dining options, and I’ve heard that the Applaro tables age and warp rather quickly. Thanks!
How have the chairs held up outdoors? Have you experienced any rust or trouble with the paint? Did you treat them with anything to make them weatherproof? Do you need to store them inside? Finally, do they get very hot in the sun? Any advice you could offer would be appreciated! Thanks!
bless your heart!
I’m searching like crazy for outdoor seating on my tight budget and can’t afford what I like…and then, here this site shows up offering me the style I wish for AND can actually afford!
thank you Sarah!

Great find on the overstock chairs!! I am completely envious of your deck and that view! Gorgeous!!
Wow that looks amazing! What a view and the mix of white and wood mixes with the setting perfectly.

Love this!! It looks AWESOME and that table is FANTASTIC!!!
What a beautiful view of the beach! I love these updates on the cabin 🙂
Such a dream spot! I want to be having morning tea at that table right now! Ikea kind of kills it with patio tables. I love mine!
