In the bedroom I have a bit of a split personality issue going on. On one hand I would like to keep with the calm natural palette of the rest of the cabin as shown in these inspiration posts, here, here and here, but on the other hand I wouldn’t mind bringing some bigger color statements in there.

Here is a collection of rooms that I’m liking in the more neutral-ish palette.

Some things that are working for me in these rooms are: the natural wood, black accents, the textured white walls behind the beds in 2 & 3, and that fur throw in 1.

Then there is this other side of me that would like to bring some more color into the bedroom like these …

Here, I am especially loving the bright color combinations, the bold striped rug in 3, the little yellow stools in 4, the art in 1, 2 & 3, and the combinations of different textures in all of them.

While I work with color all day long in my profession and am more known for that, it would still be kind of nice to have our cabin be the calming break from it all and stick with the more limited palette of the rest of the place. Maybe my solution lies some where in between the two. What do you think?
