Her living room is similar to mine in that it is a living room & entryway all in one space, so there were a few different furniture clusters to address. An entry/console table and mirror for the entry, as well as a bench and gallery wall that serves as a place to pull on and off shoes, and the main seating area with accent chairs, sofa, and coffee table. I balanced the two different styles by making sure there were several elements of both modern and country (or rustic). The rustic entry bench is offset by the modern frames and the sleek console table. The modern shaped sofa is balanced by the more traditional cozy silhouette of the yellow chair, etc. etc. And as always, I like to layer in natural patterns and textures like the fur on the chair (love the unexpected combination of the fur on such a traditional chair), the cow hide pillow, wood grain, plants, woven baskets, and that mirror… which is made to look like porcupine quills!
I can’t wait to show you how the space turns out!

Hi Sarah!
Did you use photoshop to make this moodboard? Or is there some sort of special software? Thx!

I love this! I think that your designs are so aesthetically spot-on, but still friendly and comfortable and look so liveable. And I love the mix of the rustic/natural + the modern, and all the textures here! Especially that entryway bench, and the chair in the living room. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
