Next on our northern Michigan tour is the beach, of course! There is nothing like these clear, crisp, turquoise freshwater lakes—better than the Caribbean, if I do say so. And if not for the water, but for the rocks! Since I could walk, I was taught to hunt for Petoskey stones. And where we are right now on our tour is the best spot to find one: Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Charlevoix.
So, I rounded up some of my must-haves for a family beach day. And when you’re not in the lake, grab a bucket and go rock hunting!
