Oh hey, it’s reveal day! For one of my all time favorite bathrooms that I have sat on for over two years now. eh hemm. I have had a busy few years, what can I say? ha The good news is I still love this bathroom as much as the first day and I am thrilled to share it with you in its’ full glory.
This bathroom renovation was close to my heart because, for one, it is the home of a good friend but also because, hello brown wall to wall carpet in the bathroom. EW! I take great pity on anyone that still has to endure the trend in the 80s/90s of carpeting a bathroom. I am happy we got it out of here and even more happy we got our navy shag out of our master bathroom in the #samuelfamilyfixer.
Along with carpet removal we had to bust out about 27 walls (ok more like 5 but close enough). See the design plans here to see how we reconfigured the entire space to give Jaimi and Matt their dream bathroom.
Jaimi wanted a serene, neutral bathroom but one that was still full of visual interest. Nuanced might be her favorite adjective to describe her style (mine too). The monochromatic pattern play from the mix of tiles and the gorgeous taupey marble slab along with the extra long custom double vanity delivered on all accounts.
Having a previous career in the beauty business the homeowner Jaimi has a healthy amount of product and creating the custom vanity also opened up the opportunity to give her the truly customized storage. We packed in shallow drawers on each side of the seated vanity so everything is at her fingertips.
Et voila! A choppy cramped and dated bathroom turned into a spacious zen retreat. Make sure to scope out the before photos here!

Hello! Where are the floor tiles from? They’re lovely 🙂
Where did you get that beautiful floor tile?!
I was curious too and I think I found it here:
Can you repost the link?
I noticed you don’t do a lot of recessed lighting in your bathrooms, which I love. Is that a conscious decision?
Hi! I’m currently in the middle of a custom build and I would love to know the name and brand of that beautiful shower tile! Could you point me in the right direction? Thank you so much!
Hi Sarah,
Is the subway tile you used actually 2×8.5? I didn’t think I could get 2×8 to line up perfectly for a crosshatch like this.
Hi there! Is there any chance you can share the finish on the faucets? I can’t tell if they’re the Calfaucet satin brass or lifetime satin gold?? So obsessed!
Thanks so much,
Elayne
Love your work so much! I would also like to know where the floor tile is from. It’s amazing!
Thank you!
Yes! Please share where the floor tile is from!!!
What grout color did you use for the shower?
Would also love to know this floor tile! Thank you!!
Where is the floor tile trim or what brand ?
Where did you find the floor tile and the tile for inside the shower floor? What is the brand name and product number?
I would love to know what floor tile is in this bathroom. beautiful choice.
Thanks!
Hi, im in love with this bathroom!! I’m re-designing one right now and would love to know where this floor tile is from 🙂
Thanks,
Maddison
Hi,
Can you share how you were able to do the basket weave design to line up perfectly? What size grout did you between the tiles? Did you use an exact 2″x 8″ subway tile? We would like to do a similar wall design but worried about everything lining up so just wanted to verify the size of subway tile. Thank you!!
Did anyone ever find the floortile source?

HI! lovely bathroom. Is there anyway you could please tell me what the floor tile is? I would be so grateful. Thank you!
I think it is Tierra y fuego circle and cross in white. I just received samples and it reads Grey.
Christine – thank you SO SO much! I scoured the internet with no success and I was going bonkers.
Did you end up using them? I too am concerned they are rather grey in the photos, even though tiles are listed as ivory.

Thank you for this info & the Tierra y Fuego site! Yukiko, I had some of the same questions & concerns as you–did either you of you guys get the sample and confirm whether it’s more ivory or gray in real life? Also, I am concerned about it being too high-gloss. Has anyone found it offered in more of a matte finish (I’m considering it for a bathroom floor, and although that’s how it’s shown in several of these pics, I’m scared it will be too slippery when wet). What do we think?
