While our A-frame still has no bathroom, about a half of a kitchen, and is covered in saw dust, we are getting extra familiar with all the hotels and lodging options in Palm Springs. One of my favorite Airbnb’s in the area is The Amado where we stayed this week while checking in on the construction of our place.
The boutique hotel was once an apartment building that photographer and founder Jaime Kowal renovated and restored to become the polished mid-century gem it is today. There are 5 units total, we stayed in unit number 5 which is the only two bedroom and comes with it’s own semi-private patio as well. We had my parents in town so the two bedroom was perfect. You can also rent out the entire place for events (sign me up!). Lucky for us, since it was mid-week we had it all to ourselves anyway!
It’s right smack in the middle of Palm Springs making it a great location. The decor is minimal in all the right ways with some pretty great art on the walls. I’ve rounded up a few of the pieces so you can steal the look and bring The Amado vibe into your home.
I LOVE The Amado! Some friends of mine rented it out for a birthday week and it was one of my favorite vacations. Our group stayed in the largest unit and I completely fell in love with all the design touches. I’ve been dying to go back there.

Breathtaking views! I have always wanted to visit the Amado. Now it is a purpose. Thanks for the inspiration!:)
My friends live there and I love to go and explore the city and the surrounding area, there’s so much to see and do.
