It’s a shame we don’t really use this back corner of our yard enough year round, but it’s that time of year when we have dusted off the cushions and are putting it to good use again. Especially for happy hour use. I teamed up with Target again to deck it out and throw a laid back weekday hang.

It’s the best to wind down the day with a few friends as the sun dips down in the sky. Archie is always at his most hilarious self in the early evenings so he usually brings all the entertainment we need, but I also like to set up some yard games (rupe and I are pretty cut-throat with the bean bag toss) and throw on a little low music.

For a quick centerpiece I just clipped pieces from around our yard making an quick and *bonus* free arrangement to pretty up the table.

My love for a cheese plate has still not gone away. Never ever. The ease and tastiness of cheese just can’t be beat, and they always look pretty darn good too. Finally I whipped up a little cranberry/raspberry champagne punch to help everyone wind down from the workday while we chat over the next episode of Bachelorette.

I used 1 jar of Cran-Raspberry juice, chilled – 2 bottles of champagne, chilled – 1 quart club soda and raspberries to garnish.

In large pitcher combine all ingredients. Stir gently to blend. Makes around 30 servings.

And my new motto is you can never have enough pillows. Get cozy!
