Guest Room // Sarah Sherman Samuel If you read yesterday’s post, you saw that we’ve set up a bed to temporarily convert my studio back to a guest house. You see, we have family coming to visit for the holidays and without any spare bedrooms in the house, I wanted to make sure they had a comfortable place to welcome them.

Sapira recently reached out to have me try out their mattress and I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to create the dedicated guest space for the holidays, and it also gave me the excuse to execute the DIY headboard I had rattling around my brain (see the DIY post here).

DIY headboard // Guest Room // Sarah Sherman Samuel The Sapira mattress is a hybrid of premium springs and foam and comes in a box, which is shipped right to your door. Never having to leave my house is a personal life goal… Ok maybe that is a slight exaggeration but I am an Amazon Prime fanatic, I get groceries delivered, and ordered every single piece for my bathroom renovation online, so why not a mattress too!

It means no trips to a mattress store and no pushy sales folks, you just order it online and a few days later it’s at your doorstep all set for you to test out at home. They have a risk-free 100 day trial where if you are not satisfied, you can arrange for the mattress to be picked up and then receive a refund.

The transformation is so fun and surprisingly, it’s extremely satisfying to watch. A couple other things I loved to learn about the brand is that their mattresses are made in the USA and for every ten beds they sell, they give one to a local homeless shelter.

I can’t wait to host my family this year and in the meantime might have to come up with a reason to sleep out here myself for a night or two.
