Today we are headed to Belgium! This house is my art deco dreammm with all the curves and round windows we could ever want! An actual work of art by architect Jacques Ottelohé this house was described as a “pearl and showpiece of modernist art decor.” A work of art that needs a lot of restoration (it’s been abandoned for over 30 years), but the bones are there, and they are STRONG.
Art deco is all about bold geometric shapes and lots of movement. I love my shapeshifter dishes for this house and I’ve been dying to use this fun rug in a space!

More movement in scallops and squiggles. I’m not touching the stained glass doors in this room (or anywhere) and this rug complements the colors and the original floors.
