There is nothing like squeezing out the last days of summer with a picnic in your own backyard and while I am still in our lovey dovey Anniversary mode, I thought it would be fun to create an intimate picnic for two. Just the ticket for a date night in or to celebrate something special.
Pattern mixing is always a fine idea by me, and I set the scene by combining my A Sunny Afternoon linens and boards with the Elephant Landing table cloth and pillows. A textile match made in heaven.
Now all you need is your loved one, some champagne, and to light up the candles, and you’ve got the beginnings of a simple but special evening.
Oh my gosh, what a beautiful space! I love the various shades of blue and white, that tablecloth is beautiful. I also love how you mixed it up and had a low table so you could sit relaxed on the ground. I hope you had a wonderful dinner. xo Nan – Simply Elegant Blog

What a gorgeous setup! We didn’t have a single picnic this Summer and I’m thinking we NEED one before Fall.

You really put this together well. I like the idea of having rugs to sit on. Looks so relaxing and beautiful!
This is so dreamy, can’t wait to do something sweet like this for fall! Thanks Sarah!
Beautiful! Do you know what kind of ivy is covering your wall?
Hi Mar, It is actually Bougainvillea, it is just trimmed back with no flowers at the moment.
