One thing I have always appreciated about having a career in the creative world is that denim can be a wardrobe staple on and off the job. Even when I went into an office everyday, there was no dress code, no frowns if you showed up in your favorite pair of distressed jeans… and now that I work from home it goes without saying that most days you can find me in denim.
Target has recently upped their game in denim land and they invited me to share my favorite picks, so I am going to walk you through a full weeks worth of outfits starring jeans, jeans, and jeans. Yep, that’s right… buckle up for SEVEN glorious days of denim.M O N D A Y
On mondays I am hanging with Archer and working from home. Jeans and a button down blouse (perfect for nursing breaks) are the norm around here and I just have to pop a shiny shoe on, to dress it up, for a meeting or lunch date.

On Tuesdays we have a nanny to look after A, so I work out of the studio and try and book as many meetings and out of the office excursions on those days. Even though this look is head to toe denim, the black jeans dress up the casual shirt and the perfect black pump polishes it off.

It is just me and Archer on Wednesdays so we mostly hang around the house, go for walks, and set up playdates with friends. Call me crazy for wearing all white while taking care of a babe that has just started eating solids, but in this LA heat, the jean shorts and ventilated shirt has been on heavy rotation.

We have the nanny again on Thursdays so I try to make the most of the day in the studio. You can’t get any more basic, comfortable, and uncomplicated than blue jeans and a white tee. Again, I love the juxtaposition of the distressed denim and the metallic shoe, giving it just a hint of polish.

Last day of the work week, doing worky things in all black, which takes me through the day and into the night for date night with the husband.

YAY, Saturday… Beach day! I throw a bathing suit on, denim cut-offs and head to the sea. The button down shirt keeps me decent for the pinkberry stop on the way there.

And finally… we made it… Sunday! I dressed up the denim shirt just enough for church and brunch which gets me halfway through the day until I kick off those sunday shoes and take a nice nap. If Archer and Rupert allow. 🙂
And there you have it… a weeks worth of looks out of 5 denim staples. x
