Tucked beside Nantucket’s beloved Jetties Beach—famous for having some of the best swimming on the island—you’ll find ‘A Love Note to a Great American Summer’, better known as The Beachside Hotel.

This charming spot has recently undergone renovations that perfectly blend retro charm with modern comfort. Think original 1960s details like warm wood paneling and checkered-patterned rooms, paired with family-friendly updates and cozy velvet sofas. It’s the kind of place that feels less like a hotel and more like a summer memory you didn’t know you were missing.

Family friendly, yes, but I am scheming up a solo getaway. Mornings would start on a bike along quiet island roads, stopping at lighthouses and whaling museums, all while chasing down the best cup of clam chowder for lunch. Afternoons? Beach-bound, of course. I’d pack a bag of books, post up under an umbrella, and let the sound of the waves and watching piping plovers skittering along the shore lull me into the dreamiest nap. And just when the sun starts to dip, I’d head back to the pool for lobster rolls and the golden hour glow.

Sigh, a girl can dream right? If an East Coast trip isn’t in the cards this summer, take a look below at my curated look to bring a touch of the Nantucket hotel home.
