I’m back in LA today dreaming of the time we spent last week at the cabin. Every time we go I fall in love more and more with my home state of Michigan. The best part of this weekend was filled with sunshine, looong beach days, quiet walks, sunset beach fires, and a few games of scrabble. 🙂

I LOVE Michigan too! It’s my home state and in a few months I am moving back! So excited! I will definitely be taking trips up north frequently!
Michigan was never on my to-visit-list, but since I’m following you on Instagram, I want to see that place. Which part of the lake is this?

Yea it is one of the best kept secrets seriously. The beaches are beautiful. Basically the entire west side of Michigan has great white sand beaches. Some of my favorite areas along the west side for beaches are the Leelanau Peninsula, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Silver Lake, Grand Haven, and South Haven.
Michigan looks like such a lovely place! I’m glad you had a great time up there. x

I grew up in Traverse City and Grand Haven, so I was always near some of the best beaches. I plan on buying land in Leelanau someday so I can have my own summer getaway. Only a few more weeks until I go up to Traverse City. I can’t wait 🙂
Hi Erin, Hey… I grew up in Grand Haven too 🙂 so I know EXACTLY what you mean. That is why we got the cabin in the first place. I missed the summers in MI so bad. LA summers are not much different then LA winters, I need some change of seasons! Have fun in Traverse City!
