This weekend we had to take an unexpected trip over to England to spend time with family and to mourn the loss of Rupert’s Grandmother. We all know goodbyes are never easy and this one came as a shock as the matriarch of Rupe’s family had (unknown to us) only fallen ill a day before leaving this world behind late last week. Rupe was incredibly close to his grandmother, as she was also a strong mother figure in his life, so we will be spending this week at the family farm in England honoring her. Above is Rupe and his Grandpa sitting on their back porch sharing memories. Time with family is so precious. x
I’m a very new reader to your lovely blog and whilst I haven’t commented before, I felt moved to do so after reading of the loss of your husband’s Grandmother. My sympathies to you both and to all of the family, even when we are prepared for such life events they are still impossible to take in, so I cannot even begin to imagine how this news must have felt, and what you must all be going through.
I was hoping you were on a fun trip to England when I saw your instagram, so sorry for your loss. I hope you and Rupert can share some healing moments with his family, in my experience those are so important in times like these. Sending you love from Belgium x
