Hotel De La Boétie is sophisticated, playful, and everything I want to do to my own home (or bedroom). It is brimming with personality, from the stunning swirly woven tapestry behind the bed to the silk rose pink sheets fit for a nap queen.

If you are ever the one to employ an enduring color palette, take note of designer Beata Heuman’s choices for the hotel. One floor features moody, brilliant blues, and next up are shades of browns. The third is an airy, sky-staring blue. These schemes transport me to the light, cheery, peaceful mindset I reach for.

While I cannot speak to what it is like to experience a night here, I can dream of it (it is on my travel list!) and perhaps incorporate some bits of playfulness into my own home.
