Did you see our recent spotlight on Shelley Armistead? She is partner and CEO of our favorite in the world, Gjelina Group. We sat down with her and asked her all about what home means to her and about her design of their most recent addition: Vitorrja, a hotel steps away from Venice Beach.
Now, we are traveling to the group’s other space, a cute little 700-foot apartment above their Gjusta bakery and Gjusta goods. And thanks to Shelley, we know exactly what we will be doing! She shared with us her fast five picks for when in Venice. See it and what we’re packing below.
what we’re packing:
straw hat// sunscreen// swimsuit// beach towel// tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow book// sandals// striped beach bag// jean shorts
what we’re doing:
thanks to shelley for sharing her venice musts!
to eat: La Isla Bonita food truck on 4th & Rose
to drink: a bottle of wine from Gjusta Grocer
to shop: Any skincare or body products from Highbrow Hippie
to relax: Take a walk down onto the beach & walk in the water to the end of Marina Peninsula at sunrise. Or go the opposite way at sunset – either by bike or walk along the boardwalk under the pier to Annenberg. Chasing the sun either direction is a love of mine.
to get an art fix: L.A. Louver is great, there is so much on walls walking throughout Venice, and from time to time I find some gems on the boardwalk.
